Craniosacral Therapy

Therapeutic touch

CranioSacral Therapy is a form of bodywork or alternative therapy using therapeutic touch to manipulate the synarthrodial joints of the cranium. A practitioner of CranioSacral therapy may apply light touches to a patient’s spine and pelvis as well. Practitioners believe that this manipulation regulates the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and aids in primary respiration. This helps to relieve tension and stress that increases healing and well-being. This can affect the central nervous system, movement of the cerebral spinal fluid, mobility of dural membranes, and mobility of the cranial bones.
